MOTS has received what designations?
Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the largest integrated health care system in the US, providing care to more than nine million veterans, and Motus GI (MOTS) has now been recognized as a sole source provider and small business.
In addition to providing Motus GI with direct access to VHA procurement, these special designations also streamline the purchasing and contracting processes. By increasing access to VA medical centers across the country, MOTS hopes to increase its use of the Pure-Vu EVS System to assist veterans who are suffering from inadequate bowel preparation for colonoscopies.
In order to meet the growing demand for Pure-Vu EVS, MOTS will provide additional commercial focus to the VA Health System, including educational resources and clinical study opportunities. In addition to the expanded commercial program, Motus GI introduced earlier this year with Pure-Vu EVS, this strategic support for VA medical centers builds on that effort. VHA physicians and administrators have given positive feedback to the launch to date, and several VA medical centers have placed the system.
MOTS will be serving veterans, particularly those with preexisting medical conditions that may make bowel preparation difficult. Motus GI is allocating additional resources to this large commercial opportunity based on the recent success of the Pure-Vu EVS system at several VA medical centers. More VA medical centers will adopt MOTS’ technology because of its clinical and financial value for this targeted population.
How will MOTS move forward?
The VA health care system offers physicians the option of using Motus GI (MOTS) Pure-Vu EVS system for both inpatient and outpatient procedures because they aren’t governed by third-party reimbursement policies. In order for MOTS to develop the U.S. market for Pure-Vu EVS, the VHA system is expected to play a major role.
