Tucows Inc. [NASDAQ: TCX] disclosed that it has purchased a registry platform service from UNR Corp. This newly added platform technology will complete Tucows’ current reseller and retail domain services. This asset agreement was inked and is valid as of October 1, 2021, with certain ICANN authorization anticipated in the normal course of business.
TCX revealed that along with the acquisition of UNR’s registry platform service, Tucows will add 10 veteran industry experts to the firm. These expert engineers and business leaders have more than 150 years of combined experience. These will be crucial additions to Tucows’ growing team.
Tucows stated that the most important part of this deal is that the firm will get its hands on the technical team of UNR. They have more than two decades of experience. The technical team is a very strong team with profound expertise in the domain name industry. They have established and run multiple domains and DNS platforms. TCX is planning to utilize and consolidate its expertise across all of our domain businesses.
Furthermore, Frank Schilling, CEO, and founder of UNR Corp. revealed that this acquisition is relieving for him as he is slowly leaving the industry that he has passed his business to the best hands.
