Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. [NYSE: AJG] has disclosed that it has acquired Bastrop, La.-based Files Agribusiness, LLC. The firms have not revealed the terms and conditions of the agreements yet. The Files Agribusiness team will reinforce its agribusiness capabilities and increase its geographic reach in the Federal Crop Insurance space.
Since its inception in 2010, Files Agribusiness has earned a reputation as a retail insurance agency that focuses on providing Federal Crop Insurance, agribusiness property/casualty, and agricultural aviation coverages to clients mainly in the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. John Files and his partners will continue to work from their current position under the directives of Bumpy Triche, head of Gallagher’s Mid-South region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
