CAE Inc. [NYSE: CAE] disclosed that the firm has been chosen as the new strategic partner of BETA Technologies. Under the terms of strategic partnership, both the firms have joined forces to design and develop its pilot and maintenance technician training program for the ALIA eVTOL aircraft.
As per the strategic partnership, CAE will utilize its decades of training capabilities to develop a full suite of advanced, digitally integrated curriculum and courseware solutions for the aviation workforce of tomorrow. Previously, CAE published a report on the 2020-2029 Pilot Demand Outlook in which it was projected that an anticipated global requirement of 264,000 new pilots was needed in the civil aviation industry to sustain growth over the next ten years in November 2020.
In addition to this, CAE vowed to utilize new digital technologies and developing training methodologies intended for a faster, better and more efficient throughput of highly qualified pilots and maintenance technicians for this new era of aviation.
Furthermore, the dedicated Advanced Air Mobility group of CAE provides training and operational support solutions to assist advanced firms such as BETA to certify their eVTOL aircraft, train their pilots and maintainers, and scale standardized AAM operations across global markets.
Moreover, after the strategic partnership, BETA brings a very diverse customer base to the sophisticated air mobility market. BETA is the first eVTOL to get operated airworthiness from the U.S. Air Force and the firm has customers across a suite of industries.
