FREYR has disclosed Wednesday that it has decided to take part in the expected Capstone European Clean transport summit. FREYR revealed that CEO, Tom Einar Jensen, will be present at the Capstone DC European Clean Transport Summit on Thursday, April 22, 2021, as a panel member to debate the prospects for the European electric vehicle (EV) market.
It has been anticipated that the topics of discussion in the expected Capstone European Clean Transport Summit include the zero-emission EV goal of Europe, the part of the future policy to stimulate European EV acceptance, and the advancement of EV battery technology.
Alussa Energy Merger with FREYR
Earlier, FREYR has disclosed that it will become a publicly-traded company through a business merger with Alussa Energy Acquisition Corp. [NYSE: ALUS] on Jan 29, 2021. Through its merger with Alussa Energy Acquisition Corp., the firm is anticipating raising nearly $850 million in share capital profit to speed up the expansion of clean battery cell production capacity in Norway.
Furthermore, the merger deal will be executed after the fulfillment of necessary conditions. After the finalization of the merger deal, the merged firm will be called “FREYR Battery” and its common stock is scheduled to begin trading on the NYSE under the ticker symbol FREY upon execution. The execution is anticipated in the second quarter of 2021.
